Thanks to the wide availability of trims, engines, box types, and trailering packages, your perfect Silverado pickup truck will be able to tow plenty. No Chevrolet Silverado model produces less than 9,000 pounds of towing power and the maximum towing power is obviously 13,000lbs. You’ll get the highest towing capacity of any Chevrolet Silverado model with the available Duramax 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel engine and an optional 6.2-liter V8 ECOTEC3 powertrain.

The Silverado horsepower is 348 HP. You could select 1 of the 4 different engines for your Silverado because there are a host of powerful standard and available options. A Turbo 2.7-liter engine will be the base engine option for many Chevrolet Silverado models, which creates 310hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. An optional 5.3L V8 engine is an improvement with 355L and the available V8 6.3L is a huge improvement to 420hp.
The Silverado curb weight is 4,369-4,867lbs. Creating your favorite version of the Silverado isn’t going to bring a huge change in its curb weight, so you’ll always be in good hands. Any trim level the Chevrolet Silverado lists have a version that hits the heavier 4,867-pound curb weight, which will be a normal curb weight for a pickup truck. However, the Silverado WT trim level can create a lower 4,369lb curb weight that’s not a major difference.
The Silverado ground clearance is between 7.75-10.88in. Comparing both the Silverado LT Trail Boss and Custom Trail Boss models, they happen to be the two trims that will give you a clearance measuring 10.88in. Many Silverado trims have a ground clearance between 7.89-8.09 inches, which is still a valuable level of height.
